Englishtown was a blast.
« on: October 19, 2008, 07:38:49 pm »

What a day...Started with damn near freezing temperatures. John (& Weezer) Marc (& the Baja) BeetleBoi (& Bridgette) and my self (sans the Blue Meanie...see earlier post  T1 ) pulled out of the rest area on the turnpike an boogied on up to ETown. Upon arrival we spotted a Rich-sicle shivering next to his trike. Yup...he rode it! In a jacket & jeans!

There were 2 rows of tailgaiters with a nice selection...I think everybody got what they were looking for

Jay arrived very late after some tire trouble...I'll let him fess-up give ya'll the gory details.

Now for the good stuff:

Rich took 1st in the Trike division, amongst steep competetion. Let me put it to you this way. All of the available spots in the trike section were filled...That's saying something.

Marc also took first place in the baja division.

Jay (& Louie) once again was awarded 2nd in his class.  m-d   (Who are they kidding)

The only thing that made it worth all the aggrivation was

Louie took BEST OF SHOW OVERALL (in VW) Way to Go Jay! Congratulations!!!!

Part 2...The ride home.

Im driving through englishtown with Marc in my rearview mirror. A little time passes and I look up...No Mark  s#r

So I spin around drive back into town and who's standing on the sidewalk, waving his arms... You guessed it, Mark. So I roll down the window and he yells "Broke my clutch cable!" Eeek. Wait a minute...I have a towbar in my truck! Wow isn't that convenient! So we hitched up and lost about 7 mins time on the way home...

I almost took it out this morning before I left. But I figured if I took it there wouldnt be a roller for me to buy. If I left it home...$200 choptop and no way to move it. (See I'm allways one step ahead of Murphy!) shocked

So Mark's home...and I'm going to eat dinner.

But what about BeetleBoi?

:icon_cheers: Congrats to everyone that took home the prize. Rich has more B's then I would riding the trike when it's cold, I wonder what the wind chill factor was on the trike? Marc needs a lesson in driving without a clutch. Glad everyone had a good time.

Now all we need is some pictures.
