OMG! "Rather than match the roof to the apron, I cut the back off the car and put a baja bumper on" ARRRGH

In other words..."Rather than do it right.......I took the lazy way out and ruined the car!"

Mark, please dont take that the wrong way as I love your car AND yours started with the back cut off but this dude did some really nice work and quit before he finished 'cause it got too hard

Oh... did not realize that untill you pointed it out. I can now see where that would be the easy way out.

Somethin about that chop just doesn`t look right, maybe, its because he dropped the front the same as the back?   s#r  s#r  I like the front an inch or 2 lower than the back.   just my opinion  grnbug

  I like it!

Think how it would look with lots of chrome on the engine - two Webers or Delordo's with chrome stacks sticking up.

Besides look how easy it is to pull the engine.

It could be a show winner with very little attention to details.

When you consider what a body shop charges for a chop job or how many hours you would take to do it and considering you might F***k it up. I think the price is a steal.

Joe,

I'm with ya on this one. With some extra fat fenders, big tires and a trick paint job that might be "one of a kind". You could even leave the fenders off "Ala Jacks Rat" and have a cool lowered rat rod. Imagination is all it takes to turn a turd into a diamond and don't quote me on that!

Is it me or does it just look flat on top? It gives it a look like they streched it.

He's got front apron damage and no scrapers on the front windows. I also would get rid of those tail lights. Either that or move them down. There too high.

Pass.

IMO I don't like chopped later model beetles in general. Though it hurts me to see a 50's or a early 60's chopped there's something about chopping a 68ish-79 that makes them look weird.  :)

I agree with John

Sorry - for me this still has to much chopped off. And I can see something strange in the roof just on the front corners of the sunroof.
