Mark & Joe..this one is for you -Caution water pumper content!
« on: February 22, 2009, 06:40:26 am »

Hey guys,

Yesterday at breakfast I mentioned a "mid engined" water pumper VW. This is a 92 Corrado thats had a twin turbo 16v engine mounted in the rear. Take a look at this link...

This one might be the ultimate "sleeper"

Yea, this one is a "one off". When you see this one nothing tips you off, its just a very clean VW with nice wheels and some other mods. The car just looks like any other that has had the "Euro" treatment ( as vs. the junked up "ricer treatment" ) Now when you look inside and realize the "engine in the back" isn't just sitting there then it hits you. I had a chance to look it over and theres nothing "junk" on the car. He has much bigger brake rotors and calipers and under the front hood is a water cooled intercooler with a pump and tank for the coolant. The guy started it up and it sounded more like a Corvette than anything else, I never hear a 4 or 6 cylinder car with that kind of exhaust sound and its about the only thing that tips you off that its not a stocker.
