Maiden Voyage, Never Drove a Jeep Before
« on: April 24, 2009, 09:10:41 pm »

Hit the road for the first time today. All & all pretty good. Still some tweaking to do but it runs like a scolded bear. It has so much torque that you can just put around in 3rd gear if you want. Never ever drove anything like this & I have nothing to compare it to. It's a beast but very cool.

Not to worry, my Rat is still my 1st  (love

Very nice, it's great to see that you got it on the road.

Either a type 3 fastback or a '75-'80 gas rabbit. And I want an auto tranny  :icon_tongue: Thought about another Beetle but I don't want to build the same car twice. ;D

How about a Bus Auto Tranny from a Type4 engine. She's tuffer then the wimpie bug trans and can take a licken and keep on Tricken. I know of one, but will have to see if it's still there? Butt are you sure that you want to go Auto?

Yes, I don't care about speed 60MPH is plenty fast for me. I want efforless cruising. This is realy the only reason that I looking at type 3's & Rabbits with auto's. Have no problem with a stick but if find it a nuisance. Would love put an auto in my Rat but I'm told it can't be done & the Beetle auto stick is out of the question
