First Official SJVWC Quiz!
« on: April 30, 2009, 05:23:23 pm »

All righty Boys and Girls! The results are in! Needless to saywe had a few laughs with this quiz. I wrote it while sitting around at the Englishtown show and needless to say, had a few laughs doing it. I'm going to rat out on Mr. Jack because I showed him the quiz at the show so I could check some of my facts, but in true Jack form, when I got his answer sheet, he got a few of them wrong anyhow. :icon_wink:
Just so you know , about three minutes of research went into the correct answers on this quiz so if you don't agree with the answers, bite me. It's an open forum so piss and moan all you want.
Below I have listed the questions followed by some of the smart a** answers I got and then followed by the correct answer which I have written in RED
So read up, have a few laughs, learn a few things and enjoy

How many members in SJVWC run a type three motor? Who cares? John, Joe T, Frank and Rockdog

Name at least three SJVWC female members. Michelle, Michelle and Michelle    Ann, Michelle, Katie

Name the member who has driven his car at least 5 times last year but has the least amount of miles on his car. Ed McGrath He only goes a 1/4 mile at a time and he doesn't have a odometer in his car (speedometer for that matter either)

What was the name of Jacks drag car? POS#1!  Little Screamin Zonker

What is Bobs "other" collectible car? Robin??  Corvair

Joe T drives two VW's but he also has a much older car. What is it? Osolot/ Porsche356  Model T

What is the name of Franks auto body shop? Franks Auto Body

What year is Herbies Herbie? Dan's Herbie? (editors note-how many other herbies do we have?) 1971

Jack had a job (believe it or not) at one time that trained him for one of his VW's . What was it and what company was it? Navy/ Salesman for Phillip Morris/ Cherry Hill VW/ Jack never had a job- Stop that!   Bus Driver for NJ Transit

SJVWC almost had a different name (it was the name of the club before SJVWC). What was it? This question had the most contoversy about it. My source says it was VW Club of South Jersey Alot of people said south jersey panzers but from what I'm told, that was the name of the joint club before our club seperated.

Who will be the next driver of Buds Karman Ghia?  His grandson, Jake

At one of the Dover shows, two SJVWC cars had "issues". Whose cars and what were the problems? Actually there were three- Steves generator had to be replaced, Franks starter went so we had to push start it, and the generator light went off in my car on the way there.

Name two parts that have broken on Michelles "Sunny" on two different cruises. Yucels cajones! Flat bald tire and a fan belt.

A club member had his motor butchered by a local VW repair place and then rebuilt it in somebodies basement. Whose car and whose basement was it? Mike pancoast in Bob Mendelos basement

What world famous designer is represented  in our club? It starts with a V.   Louis Vitton (Jays car)

What are the names of John's two cars? Ned and weezer

Who once showed their car at a show with a tuba on the roof? Greg, of course

Who hit who's car at a club meeting ? Dan hit weezer

Name the member who is having a garage built just for his VW's. Jim or as he is know "Gregs Dad"

Who owns the most VW's in the club? More controversy with this one. The answer is Ramone Gonzolas-everytime we have intros at the meeting he is always the one with too many to list. But it could also be Jay D- buguru

Who is the only Rasta member in our club? A couple of people didn't know what a rasta was (rastafarian) The answer is the other Ramone

Who used to be known as "three gear"? Marc with a C

Martin always shows up in a car that is not a VW. What is it? Batmobile/ ghetto cruising cadillac/ the classy caddy.  It's a cadillac

How many things are in the club? I can't print Joe T's response cause this is a family site. 3- John Long and Adam and Le181 Sorry don't know your name

What was the name of Jacks last beetle? Jacks last beetle  We all remmember Black Beauty

Who was the mystery Santa? Frank

Who sends us cool videos and what club does he belong to? Lemorris of the Dry Heat Panzers

What is Pats club nickname? The nose? DA I can't welder    Da welder

there were two other questions sent in that some of you may have gotten.

Who is the only fully paid "life member" of our club?  I don't honestly know but I am going to say Katie We had the presentation at the all air cooled gathering.

The other one was who scratched Steves Car? I have no idea.

Well there you have it. Let the bitching begin.

Oh yeah. Who won? Bob Mendelo with 22 correct answers. Take a bow, Bob :icon_king:

Just to clear up a few facts;

VW Club of South Jersey and south jersey panzers joined at the hip to form SJVWC. If you would have ever clicked on "About" on the home page you would have know the answer.

So far, I'm the only paid life member. Katie is the only Honorary life member, bless her little heart.

I have a Thing also, a 70.

Jack had a job (believe it or not) at one time that trained him for one of his VW's . What was it and what company was it? Navy/ Salesman for Phillip Morris/ Cherry Hill VW/ Jack never had a job- Stop that! Very funny answers!! LAUGH@
