78 bus

my neighbor is selling his 78 westy. he's looking to get $5000 obo. he is the second owner. he's an elderly gent who is moving into an apartment and has no room for the bus. i looked it over this past weekend. it's seems to be 95% rust free and was always kept in his garage. the entire westy interior is there. it has the original porsche engine. the seats were covered so the original covers are quite nice. i plan to list it for him on the samba and craig's list but i'm giving you club guys a head's up first. i'll try to get pics this week.

well guys the bus has sold. it's going to a nice family from delaware. they own other vws and wanted to do the camping thing so they added the bus to their collection. too bad the club didn't get to see it as it is a really nice preserved original bus. the new owners should have some fun in it. busicon2 busicon2 busicon2 busicon2 busicon2

 I can't Beleive that none of our members jumped on this one. It sounded very nice and cared for at that. These Babies are getting more and more difficult to locate espically on the East coast and a solid one at that. Shame on you . Here let me do it for you  kickButt

i know what you mean. i thought as soon as i posted this someone would step up and buy it. at least it's going to an air cooled owner. you snooze,you lose.

NEVER! It should be a rule for the club that each member must own at least 1 bus.
