The new windshield arrived today, right now it is sitting on the two rear seats of my Honda
I'm going to try to find room in my work shop for it tomorrow. When the guy who bought it here he thought he had to install it  @7@  He looked at the bus and said the metal under
the windshield had to be replaced, I said "duh". Then he saw the 75 bus I bought from Big Jay and said the metal looks good but a little rusted, then said if you can use a saws all
you could cut the metal out from it, weld it in place and grind that down, put some primer  and paint on it then with two or more guys install the windshield as long as they know what they are doing, but I would need to buy the rubber I told him I already bought the new one. Since the 75 can't be moved, the work   would have to be done here, I have them parked next to my canvas "garage" which has a 20 amp service to it. Anybody want this PAYING
job?
I would like to have it done before the real cold weather  sets in. But not this week or early next as my Brother died today.
Thanks for any help or ideas.
Bud

Bud, you are having one hell of a year. My condolences.

as far as the repairs have you looked for a new pice of metal? the cost will be close to what you will pay for some one to cut the other bus up.

You buy your own bus, and do what you want to your bus. I'll do what I want to so with mine. Pissing off purists one modification at at time.

Thanks  John for helping this old man out  :icon_cheers: The holes are much bigger now
but I have white duct tape covering them, it seems to keep the water out.
I should be a " Little " better after Monday when my Brother is laid to rest.

I tried to PM you with no reply? I then talked to Jack, still waiting to hear from him.
If you could do this Paying job. I would love it , if so should I buy the replacement kit
Shawn posted or would you rather build it from scratch? I know we talked about this
before. Because you are a welder and a member of the club, too many would expect you to work for nothing~ that is not my way of doing things. That is why I take my VW's to
Joe's Bug, I know I am going to have to pay for the work and not ask the club members
to spend their time on mine. If you will please let me know what you want to do and where? As you know we are a little busy right now with Joan and the death of my Brother.
You can either put a post here or email me at ghiabug@gmail.com
Thanks for any reply.

Pat. I know you are busy but I would like to know if you can do this job or just don't want to?
If not I'll have to find someone that can help out (remember this is not a freebie)  d-s

Thanks for ANY REPLY
