Vacuumed the broken glass out of the drivers door. Started stripping paint of the door. I got most of it off and decided it would be easier if I took the door off. So I tried the air hammer and one hinge pin moved about a millimeter. I took the caps off and sprayed PB blaster in the holes. It didn't even run out the bottom of the hinge....just sat there in a puddle laughing at me 777. I checked back in a couple of hours and it sort of went down the hinge. So I have been spraying the hole full of PB before I leave for work, when I get home from work and before I go to bed. Who knows how may times I wil have to do that @7@. The first time I spary and the PB runs out I will try the air hammer again.

keep going at it with the air hammer. Sometimes it takes more than a few minutes of non stop running in order to get them out. A few millimeters is a good sign. But they will not just "pop" out.

Yuma

Took me 3 days to get the right upper pin out  &m&
Used PB & large C-clamp to get it started, then
the air hammer.
Check samba, on how the C-clamp is used for
door pin removal.  It works  BO**

Thanks. I'll check Samba for the C clamp trick. I had hoped the pins would come out fairly easy, but have resigned myself to the fact they have to be driven out a little at a time. Never used PB before, but have heard nothing but good about it....still nothing coming out the bottom of the hinge...but the puddle is going down faster....PROGRESS!!! :icon_cheers:

Drove it home from Philly. It's not running good at all. Losing power, stalling, flat spots... I hate tune ups. Maybe it can wait till the end of the season. Anybody ever use a digital timing light? I think I saw one at harbor freight.

Put up Christmas lights and a tree in the bus.

No pics....there is no tree.. @3#

I'm still working on the hinge pins. Sprayed PB in the holes everyday, sometimes twice a day. Broke out the air hammer again today and the bottom pins moved. Less luck with top ones, but some movement. I turned on the compressor and let it build up to pressure, then turned it off and hammered until I ran out of pressure, turned compressor back on and repeated on next pin. Rusty liquid is coming out of the joints where the two hinges go together. I think this week I will spray PB before I go to work and use the air hammer everyday when I get home.
Slow going but I'm making progress. When I get everything put back together I think i wil take the pins out once a year....just because. :icon_cool:
