I went and bought my first watercooler. We needed a DD for me while we fix George (again). It's an 87 Cabriolet. 43,000 miles and in great shape. Drove it around the block today. Felt weird but I'll get used to it. It's an automatic (which I hate ) but it'll be a great car for my 2 kids that will be getting their licenses this year.

It all started with fried chicken...

So Matt doesn't let me fry anything in the house... so luckily I have camping stuff and I can do it outside. So, while I was waiting for the chicken to marinade in the pickle juice, I started to measure for the front piece of my Westy Bed. The piece I was using, was something Tyler had around just so I could get by.

I also found out why my inverter wasn't working... because it was came loose in the battery box just inches from the negative terminal! Luckily there wasn't enough length to get close.

Took Ned out to the Johnson Farm show for a maiden voyage. Ned hasn't been on the road in a couple of years. Brakes a little weak but it ran like a champ. I noticed a bunch of noise when pushing in the clutch. After listening to it for a few minutes, came to the conclusion that maybe the throw out bearing was going. When I got home I noticed a trail of oil running down the driveway. Crawled underneath and noticed the problem was even worse. Front seal is blown and probably dumped oil all over the clutch. Motor will need to be pulled and everything replaced. Life sucks

Just part of the fun of Classic V-Dub ownership.
If it was easy, everyone would have one...
