We run the same risk of mice in the fan here in the desert  &(rage_  
Kangaroo Rats and Pack Rats like the fan area to build nests, while
they chew up your wiring around the engine.  

Shop rags make great nest material, and plugs up the oil cooler when
you start the engine.

Found the cure from JBugs  2@@cool  VW Air Intake Screen  #9195  $7.95

Cheap insurance to keep the little critters out of the fan area.

Took Irene to dad's garage to work on the brakes. Seems like everything was just rusted out and not moving freely. Broke a couple of Allen bolts, threw a couple of wrenches. Dad said I should've taken it right to Sears to have them do it, but what's the fun in that?!  2@@cool We almost finished, ran out of daylight and heat. Going to put the bearings and the drums on Tuesday. Put in new emergency brake cables, the old ones were find and I had the new ones so we just went ahead and put them in. My back is killing me!  Ended the day with some  &^beer&

Did a test-run over to Savichs VW to see if i was getting any leaks after i pulled the motor this  past weekend.  thumpup)- NO leaks and now Soul Rebel is back on the road for the summer! Brakes-chkd, oil-leak-fixed, New 75amp Alt- installed,..... Houston, we ready for take-off! %^whoosh
