Today, figuring that the days would only get colder I finally got up the nerve to do something I've never done...

Using a block of 2x4 on my pump jack got the car high enough on the stands to let me slide the engine out between the right rear drum and the rear part of the fender rather than directly out the rear of the car. Engine was slid out on .090 FRP board. With the smooth side facing up it took very little effort to slide the engine. Once clear it was put on the dolly.

Painted the lower part of Mildred's rear hatch with black board paint. I'll use this to advertise our twitter and cb radio info.

I adjusted the valves, drained & replaced the fuel last week.  Went for a ride Sunday. It bucks in every gear then it runs good when the rpm picks up. The big problem is it stalled out When I gave it gas 3 different times. It started right up. I'm going to change fuel filters & lines  today.  After that I'll work on the carb.
Who knows. :confused04:;

Pulled carb cleaned inside and out. I did not realize how bad the fuel eats rubber. replaced all rubber from the fuel tank to the carb. I also pulledthe fuel tank to clean.
I changed the plugs. While changing the plugs I noticed 1 of the caps that go from the spark plug wire to the plug is damaged. Anybody know wear I can get one new or used cap. I don't want to buy new wires just for 1 cap.

Ripped all the brakes off the ghia. When u hit the brakes over 25 miles an hour the car shakes really bad and wants to change lanes. Don't know wats wrong with it.

Took the generator off because it was not charging ordered a new alternator. Disassembling the old generator I found it was missing the rear woodruff key to turn the fan..... All this time driving the car, and not cooling the motor

Pulled the motor out of the 60. Did rear main seal flywheel o ring. Clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing. Might take a chance and take that to the cruise.
