Went to the Millville Airport for the 2015 Wheels and Wings Show with Herbie and Nigel. It was the best show ever. It was non stop performances. I represented SJVWC with my shirt, stickers and conversations. My '56 Nigel was voted best import. The show is being repeated tomorrow Sunday. See it if you can!  *buG

Took carb off to rebuild. Every thing was going good until the very end. I'm missing a very, very small o-ring on the needle valve that goes on the side of the carb \rain. There are times I can't win. I give up.

Your not allowed to give up Rich. It's just another challenge. Do you have a really good old fashioned hardware store or auto parts store nearby? Just make sure it's compatible with gas.

Rich,
I have the correct size extra O rings. If you are planning to come with the club to my place for the Super VW Sale, I can give you one. I know we are supposed to get smarter, but I still misplace those small parts during a rebuild. I wonder where they end up? Anyway good luck with the carb!  old-\

Thanks Bob and John. My problem I like 60 miles one way from the club meeting.
I bought a rebuild kid. Everything was right except for this one little gasket. I live by Home Depot, Lowes, NAPA, Auto Zone and Harber Freight. One of them should have it.
I my be coming to Monday's meeting, not sure right now. Is there anybody down that way that may have one.

We did some work on George yesterday. He has compression issues so we pulled his engine yesterday. Not sure exactly what the problem is yet but it's not good. Gonna need to replace whatever is the problem ASAP since I need him running for work next Monday. Brakes work fine now and we are gonna hunt down parts for heater channel replacement. It's always something with this boy but I love him.
