My Solution to a Big Buck Audio System
« on: September 27, 2009, 08:37:07 pm »

Been kicking around ideas for music in the Brick. I'm not a big enough audio buff to warrant spending hundreds of dollars for a hard wired system, but I do have an Ipod Shuffle. So I found this. It runs on house current, batteries or I can plug it into the lighter. It even has a remote & good reviews. Heck I can even use it in the Rat. Tyler's portable box gave me the idea.

It's 60-70 Db's in a Moving VW Bus.. That thing at full volume might put out 80. Hope you like listening to just cymbals

Tylers portable will do 120+

You can do really nice sounding stereo for very little money. My amps came from a Musting I built for my daughter and that she later abandoned  !fright!. It's high end stuff, but I didn't pay a lot for it. The trading post is the way to go. Kids spend a chitload on their equipment only to sell it for pennies on the dollar when the next generation comes out (or they need money to get their car fixed)

Sorry buddy....Looks can be deceiving. I thought it was one of those little units. I did some research and that unit is 30 watts! Your single radio & speaker is probably 10watts. No worries.... Unless you have an iPod shuffle... It seems you need to buy some sort of adapter... People were peeved
