Buncha spares from my current build
« on: December 18, 2009, 11:02:07 pm »

Our current build took a bit of a twist leaving me with alot of spares I probably wont need

Ghia disk front beam, good for converting that bug to disks
together or seperate, new disks, calipers and pads
ball joint lowering spindles (1.5 inch drop I believe)
15x8 Empi chrome wheels 4 bolt pattern (only 2)
Ball joint front beam with drums and steering box
Rear drum setup from an IRS car.  We have a full chassis, we will be using the center spine and torsion with transaxle but if there's something else on the chassis you may need let me know.  Pans are relatively solid but surface rusted, let me know quick if you want them or I wont be taking too much care in removing them.
T3 rear drums (larger drum and shoe, nice upgrade for beetle or good for an early bus reduction box elimination conversion)  from a race prepped car so they have cooling ducts built in to the backing plates.

Make offers, we decided to use a Porsche 944 suspension, wheels and brakes so all of this is extra now.

Possible trades for a real hurst shifter or other parts?

Hey Jim
can I reserve that ghia front beam? I'm trying to find out if I can use the disc set up on my square.

Give me a day or so and I'll find out. I appreciate it.

I think I just answered my own question- dont hold it for me.

If I did make the conversion, I would have to get new rims for the car (I have the wide 5 pattern). I would also need to buy a new master cylinder ( I have a single, not the dual needed)

I'll work on my originals- less expensive. Thanks anyhow.

Yeah, unfortunately its not wide 5 so it would require the full conversion.

I would like to get the spindles, my rat needs another 1-1/2 down. PM me what you want for them. I can't get them until 2weeks.

It dawns on me that I believe these are disk brake spindles, dunno if there's a difference or not.  I'll shoot you a PM
