Guys,

this weekend Speed vision was playing a great little movie called
"Love the beast". No VW content but a story about an Australian actor named
Eric Banna who had a Ford falcon XB ( only sold in Australia, think Mad Max "Police interceptor" ). He owned this car from the time he was a kid and eventually he decides, with the help of his old school buddies, to re build it when hes well into his 30's.

Its a little more than a "guy meets car guy loves car" movie but it touches on the "car guy" in all of us and why we do what we do. ( Yes there are even guys who love their covettes and other non-VW cars!  !fright! ) Theres a couple of interviews with Jay Leno, and yes.. Dr. Phil ( don't say forget it yet! hes really good in this one ) the whole plot revolves around Erics love for this car, his ups & downs and how in many ways we all experience what he goes through.

anyway the movie is being replayed on speed vision on Jan. 3rd. but you have to check your schedule for the time.

I like the side story about his Dads T-bird who would ever figure somebody in Australia would have a boat like that and right hand drive!

If you think back everybody has a favorite car in their family from when they were a kid. My dad had a black 53 chevy that I can remember like it was yesterday.
