Well it was a wet start but turned out to be a nice day and a good time.



We hit the rain when we got down to Cape May Court House and the rain continued till about 10am. The rain move out and the rest of the day was great dispite a light turnout.



About an hour after the rain stoped the boardwalk was packed with people



Ramone and Bob won trophies and Mark did a great job running the show.

We all had a nice time despite the AM rain. We talked to many people as they were asking questions about our V-dubs. We met a man named Howard who is about to join SJVWC It was great to meet Shawn and Stefanie. ( Sorry if the spelling is incorrect Stefanie)

Mark told me a story today.

On his first visit to a SJVWC meeting he was approached by a gentleman who talked with him at great lenght about our club and it's members. They talked for the rest of the meeting about "everything" in Mark's words. This gentleman was one of the nicest people Mark had ever met.

His name... Bud Ward.

When Mark learned of Bud's passing, he remembered the man who took the time to tell him all about the club that he was so proud of.

Mark, Dubs on the Boards, presented SJVWC with a plaque honoring Bud for his service and dedication to his club AND VW's

Shawn and Everyone,
Marks words about Bud are a great tribute to his personality and dedication. This should be an example for us to follow! Thanks Shawn. Also thanks for all the great pictures and your challenge to club members!
