At our last BOD meeting the subject of a SJVWC car badge was brought up.

I said that I had come across one some years ago at the Englishtown Swap meet. (See picture below.)

I didn't know that there was a SJVWC before us. Bob Mondello said that he thought that sometime in the sixties he had heard of such a club. What happened to it? Where did it start? and Why did it die? Are all unanwsered questions.

Is it still around? Maybe i can get a machineshop to stamp out 100pcs. We'll have a choice of metal, st.steel or aluminum. I'll talk to a decalshop owner and see how much it would cost to do the decals to put on the badges.

I'm lovin that idea. If you can get some made up that can go on the bottom of license plate too.

It would be really cool to see if any info could be found about the earlier club....

  Nice find!

Not to be a killjoy... If we're going to do a badge, how about we put our logo on it

This is SO easy...

The Island of Jersey - England, the southern part of which is the home of the "FLANDERS Battlefields", had a VW club a few years ago...

"ENGLISH-Town" - Cmon guys put the pieces together... :)

Nope....

Just heard back from the "Jersey VW Owners Group" (on the Isle of Jersey, UK) and while they like the badge it's not from there.

By the way... They all said Hi

Maybe these guys know....

Maybe when the Isle of Jersey broke away from this continent that badge happened to be in the west part of the state and stayed here.
