Bud's Bus
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:23:15 pm »

i talked to bud's wife today and she told me that they have decided to sell bud's bus. she said the bus must go to someone who will take care of it and not buy it to sell it in a week. it comes with the the parts bus also. i drove bud's bus and everything worked fine, he has a new windshield for it and some other things. let me know if anyone is intrested. it is not listed anywhere else i put it here for her first... i hate to do this but i just don't have room for it right now, otherwise i would buy it, just cuz it was his.

It has a rebuilt engine with about 25 miles on it and a ton of other work done to it.

I wish I wasn't "on the wagon" for buying VW's and parts or I would grab it and make it into the "Red Cross VW van" that he wanted to do to it.

I'd be okay with helping out with that, to sell and DONATE the profits to whomever his wife Joan deemed.

I just wont go near the electrical...

I didn't know Bud, he passed as I joining. But what I have noticed from the various forums and the tribute at the Dubs on the Boards that he was a very respected and promanent member of the club.
I think it would be a great idea for a project if someone could provide space. I'm retired (sort of) and could help out and learn a lot. I'm a great goffer!
It could be donated or perhaps the profits, if sold, could be used for seed money for other projects. I think he would like to see the club grow.
Obviously a lot of details would have to be worked out. This would be a great topic to discuss at our December meeting.
