Millville Car Show 8/13
« on: August 13, 2011, 06:41:05 pm »

It turned out to be a great day in Millville for the show, with over 300 cars showing up and 4 VW's I never saw before and never did get to talk to the owners of them, they were never around their cars but we did put PB fliers in them and club cards. Two of the stock Vert VW's won trophies. There was a shortened bus and a split window bug,  this guy we meet at Tuckerton when we had our cruise to Stewart's there.

Lots of fine looking Detroit Iron and most of them I never saw before.

We also had coffee in one of the coffee shops and some GREAT rice & beans with Pork, some of the best pulled pork I ever had at a price anyone could afford, in fact the price was so low I can't remember what it was, Joe will remember.

Just as we were going to our cars the sky got dark so I put my top up (first time to use it) and we got drops as we were keeping about 2-3 miles ahead of the rain going home. All in all, a good day.

Will post some pic/vids later.

What a great show. what a great town. There was so much to see and do. Some really fantastic live music. Four women call the "Angel Tones" They looked like house wives, but boy could they sing! They did 1960 girl tunes better than the originals groups. A lot of free stuff including a tee-shirt, plaque and dozens of chachies. We had dinner at "A taste of Puerto Rica" A huge plate of Rice and Beans and a huge helping of the best Pork I ever had and it was only $3.98 for the small size and if that was the small size I can't imagine what the large size is. It was more than I could eat and Jack barley finished his.

This is Jack getting coffee at "Bogart's" a coffee house and book store that had a live folk singer doing Jimmy Buffet, John Prine, the Beatles, etc.
I could have stayed there all day listening to him.

Nice place for a future cruise

Wow, sounds like I missed another great event.   Sounds like you had a great time.  Classic cars,  good music, free stuff,  good food for a cheap price.....    doesn't get much better than that!
