Our team made a valiant effort but came up about 2 feet short of a third win. Great job guys winning the first round and keeping us in the fight to the last.

How can the sponsoring club win their own trouphy  :confused04:; Plus they were the judges! Something does not smell right in Denmark. Or in this case Flanders.
Besides, being two time champs we should have been spotted two car lengths.  2@cent

If you have to copy at least be original!

Yeah, and Bob was  #sick   , he had a frayed belt.. ( even though his engine wasn't running...)    I'm sure   that slowed him down somehow..

No worries.... It wasn't judged...It was a race. And we didn't win this time. But next year............

It was my first Flanders and my first camp out in a long time.
I have to say I had a blast! :jump4jo":
Thanks looking forward to next year!
How many Marks are there?!?!

The problem with the PushMe contest is that South Jersey VW's cars have been running so good that we forgot how to push a broken down car...........or is it that we just use AAA.  Nice try group sorry i missed it.

Well after the loss all we can do is take a step back and reflect on what we did different this year compared to last.  i dont think this is a place for finger pointing but more personal reflection.  i know i had done some things different this year.

1) I did not violate/dance with the trophy in the club house wearing my Blue Unity Suite.  Maybe this gave Mr. Push me the feeling it was not loved and it was time to move on.

2) I did drink a fair amount the night before fore but somehow awoke bright eyed and bushy tailed.  i think that i have to work harder at still being drunk at the time of the push like in years past.  this year it felt like i was pushing a car in years past it felt like i was trying to hold my self up on the car and continually falling forward.

3) Trash talking... only a little this year last year i pushed it way into the RED.  think i need to turn that up a notch and for you central jersey guys reading first off Gratz but dont think you winning will stop all the trash talking i will still talk like MR. Push Me is home on Shawn?s mantle.

Great job by all im not worried about getting back the coveted trophy next year and Central can brag all they want but not till they can claim they held Mr. Push Me for 730 days will i really start to listen.

My observations at the starting line:

When the announcer hesitated calling the number three,  &(rage_    &rant(( SJVWC bogged. The other team took right off on three. Looking at the finish line it looked like it was about the same distance at the finish.  (We could have won or at least tied.)

  Suggestions for next year:

I'll bring my portable air tank to pump up the tires.
How about individual tryouts for the pushing team? Maybe we can do it at the club picnic as part of the festivities.  &^beer&

Did anyone from SJVWC win any trophies is the car show?  }dunn--

lovebus (jack)

Yes, Shawn knows who, he told me but I only remember him and Matt.
