I've always meant to ask what this knob is.... this one is in a 54 bug....

That is the heater control knob in an early bug, pre 1966

OMG..she uploaded the pic, way to go,

 as easy as driving a stick........

 #@rofl3   Oh if only it were that easy, I would have bought one YEARS ago!!!

Thanks Jack .. I thought it had something to do with the heat, since the later models have the vent levers by the seats.
