Why is it that when someone pays through the nose to have someone do all the work for them that they think they can ask such a ridiculous price for a car.

I think the high price is more due to the rarity of the model. You have alot of period correct parts and  an even rarer engine.
It's like the people that pay millions for antique cars. It's not the work done to it (well, part of it) It's the fact that you wont see another one like it. and for some collectors, thats what it's all about.
