Don't Ignore your Fire Alarms...
« on: May 02, 2012, 06:31:56 pm »

Experienced my first house fire today. Fire alarm went off, ignored it... figured someone was cooking. Heard some one walk downstairs, followed by a scream some banging and intense sobbing. My roommate's friend didn't take the fryer off the electric stove (which stays hot) and started a grease fire. Ruining our Microwave, Oven and our kitchen and entrance way is covered in black soot.

So remember kids... don't ignore your fire alarms.  %$oldcit

Very scary, but thank goodness people were home when it happened. Otherwise there may have been far more damage.  Really glad you and your roommates are all right.

A great reminder, Greg, thanks.
