The Landis Ave. Cruise night was great and to be the first Foreign Car club to ever be invited to this show was a great honor. There were hundreds of cars and thousands of people walking Landis Ave. Our VW's were a big hit with the crowd and I think more people stopped to check out our cars as much as any cars on the Ave. All in all, a very good night for SJVWC. I just wish we could have planed this sooner and had more cars and Buses there, Maybe next year..

OMG what a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was never at a car event this big. I couldn't believe the number of cars.
The weather was great, the time just flew by. You couldn't see from one end to the other, cars, cars and more cars.
Our 7 little VWs got plenty of attention. Bob's Herbie was a big hit.
Jackwagon's strap was so popular people not only wanted to take pictures of it but wanted Jack in them too.
We need to make this a priority next year.
We had a great spot. Close to the food, the port a pots and we even had a shade tree.
If you have to copy at least be original!

Yep, great time. Need to mark this for next year. **^bana0 JackWagen and the Strap were the VIPs of the show. They even let him step right up to the food stand with little waiting time while us mortals waited a half hour.  :jump4jo":
Great time, great show!!!!!!!

My apologies to the Club for not being there.

Prior commitment AND a foot long rip in the Baja's floor pan.  bawlin)0

Yes, Matthew and Ralph said they had a great time being there too,  and that they were happy to see the SJVWC representin'!   They said the club even got mentioned by the radio station as the first ever foreign car club to be allowed to show!!!!  :jump4jo": :jump4jo":

The Club running the show was very friendly to us and seeing that we had a good spot to park also.

I tried to keep an eye out for Matt and Ralph but as you can see by the pictures it would be hard t spot someone in the crowd .

They had to turn cars away it was so packed.

It's great for the club, but it's even better for the people to see VW's are alive, and well!! 2@@cool

Thanks to Jack and Joe for getting the ball rolling on this show. Next year we will plan much sooner, now that know we are welcome. It was an amazing site to see all those hundreds of cars and people. I was shocked to see the attention our cute little V-Dubs received! What a spot and nice day it was! clap2-*

Anyone that attends car shows know, well they can be slow, if not boring. But this show was not like that. First, the number of cars attending. If you know how long Landis avenue is, imagine cars parked perpendicular with only a couple of feet or less between them running from the circle to past the old Landis Theater which is, over a mile? And still they had to park cars  down the middle of the avenue, some two deep. And still there were cars in front of the barricades trying to get in. Hundreds were turned away.

Mugman and I walked from 4th street all the way to the Landis theater and you never realizes how far you walked becuase there was so much stimulation from seeing so many different kinds of cars. There was a variety of food being sold; Jamaican, Cajun, Mexican, Amish and of course American. Everyone was overly friendly and was caught up  in the comaradarie of the day.

Jacks car was one of the big hits of the show. We always had a crowd around the VW's. I can't say the same for the Corvettes.  I watch people walking by with a glazed-over look in there eyes- like "all these cars are starting to look alike."
Then they would stop dead in thier tracks and just stare at Jack car, then whip out their camera and start taking pictures.

It was the best time I ever had at a car show. The Mustang car club did a great job at running the show, They gave all of us a much coveted Event Pin.

I think that somehow we should find a way to thank the Mustange club and Ben Navoro for letting us in. It was a great honor and a great day.
