Baja Bye Bye
« on: February 24, 2013, 02:45:16 pm »

Hey,
My first VW, the 69 Baja has moved on to a new home in CT.  Yes, it was sold, to a father and son up there, it is going to be his first car!!  Pretty awesome, I'd say especially if I were 18.

When I bought the car back in 06, I took a leap of faith, bought the car sight unseen, and drove it back from VA, what a crazy ride.  Well, selling the car I took a leap of faith and drove it up to CT.  She performed perfect, ran like a top, 253 miles, in the rain the whole way!!!!

Big thanks to Yucel for following me up in my new DD.  It's a Ford Fusion, and it made it up to CT and back in 1 tank of gas just over 500 miles...  clap2-* clap2-*  Much better gas mileage than my jeep I traded in.  I'll miss the Jeep too, but all of my cars can not be toys...

SO I wish good luck to the my bug's new family,  now to spend all that money on bus stuff!!!!!!!!!!! 2@@cool thumpup)- &^beer& clap2-* **^bana0

Yea, I am a bit sad too, and I agree the bug is going to the right family, I hope they have as much fun in it as I did!!!

Depends on where the Chicks are from and how much mud is on the Baja. :confused04:; We have a saying here abouts, about down belowers. Just to clarify that's a place down below the Maurice River!
