  Tonight for you cool weather enjoyment, Kathy and I are bringing a pot of Lentil soup.

  This is my favorite meatless recipe-but, do not despair- it has plenty of flavors made with: Porcini mushroom extract and truffle oil.   &^beer&

I called the park office this morning  - they said don't bother reserving a place with so many open, and save the $9.00 - they said just drive around pick out a site, come back and pay for it - so that sounds good - seems like some nice choices are available... 104, 108, 109..... 104 does sound nice from your description Shawn...thanks.

On the way to the campout, we were encountering very high winds, pushing the car and trailer around a bit  - I think we hit a super-cell updraft. We heard a crack noise and Katie and I both saw the car-tent  flying way behind the car - it actually cleared the trailer. I  saw it rotating in the air, and thought I saw it hit a car following us, but could not be sure, as I had to look for a place to pull off the highway. Finally did pull over and commented to Katie that is somehow cleared the trailer, she said she saw that and it was flipping in the wind up in the air, hit the ground and a car ran over  it.  I do not think it hit a car.. at least no one pulled over...I ran down the side of the highway - it was quite a distance........ and was able to pull it out from the middle of the highway off the side of the road. Ted came up and was able to get the legs off the road- (which mount to the car's rain gutter and  canopy bottom wood platform),  apparently the anchors for the legs  ripped through and out the bottom of the platform, and were mangled. Two legs remained on the platform.
 Ted and Katie stayed on the shoulder with the tent while I drove all the way back home to get the jeep ( tent could no longer be put on Bob), got the jeep, and to make a long story short, got the tent home. Quite a few rips in my new cover, see a small rip in the tent material, and a little tear in the screen. Also the new platform I built for the dressing room is ruined as well as the legs...

 We are so fortunate that something of this size did not hit a trailing car, and cause an accident - or a series of accidents............ everyone here is fine...

 Needless to say did not get to go camping, was really looking forward to it, we all had a ton of food cooked, candy etc... but this bad thing happened....... bawlin)0  bawlin)0  bawlin)0  bawlin)0  bawlin)0 bawlin)0  bawlin)0   it was rather frightening....

So sorry could not make it, everyone here is upset

Ahh, that was Ted, I took the picture.. he always has to be a ham in front of the lens.... ( I'm better looking anyway, granted hard to tell who is who it the pic..)

 We were all soooooooooo psyched for the campout - after this we were all depressed.... until next year!!!! thumpup)-
