Arrived at 11:00 to help set up. No worries,

 Marc,

Glad you made it through with any accidents. There were so many in our same area, we were pretty much snowed in! Hopefully there was still a good turn-out for the party!!

The official Restaraunt/Bar of SJVWC

Set up, Tune up...

This year we wanted to speed up the drawing portion by creating a FEW baskets to raffle off
With Santa T on the job, the meaning of "few" gets blurred

And the snow starts...

As the members arrive to the melodious tones of Greg, Jim & Matt

I saw a snowy game on the TV and an Eagles logo... I said "Where are the Eagles playing, Minesota?"  Someone said...Thats the Linc!

Dinner was served!

So was coffee  #@rofl3

And desert,,, thumpup)-

President Jay had gifts for the Board of Directors

Michelle did a great VW History Quiz

The body shop contest produced some pretty good busses...

Ending in a 3 way tie for the best!

Then came awards time...

I was about to start the presentation of the "Bud" award for "Outstanding dedication to the SJVWC and the VW Hobby when Joe T started talking and the next thing I knew was....

Joe had completely hoodwinked me.

I could not be more honored... having created the award (named for the late Bud Ward) nobody knows the intent better than me.)  12blush

The "Love Bug Award" went to Tyler and Rose for getting engaged at one of our events and sharing with the group! -garsh-

The "The Car Went North but the Trip Went South Award" went to Matt & Katy for the unfortunate loss of the vintage roof tent on the way to a club event.

The "Do You Smell Smoke Award" went to Greg for the wire fire he had in his bus. His quick action with a fire extinguisher saved the day on that one.

The "Most Taken Apart VW Ever Ever Ever" Award went to Jay Seguinot... Its self explanatory

The "I really Wanted to be There" AKA the "Where's Karen Award" went to KVBug for missing EVERY event.

The "I Have Seen the Light" Award went to Dan Cozzi for NOT selling his Herbie replica

The "We Dont Care We Love Driving VW's" award went to Anthony & Jeanette for driving 50 miles from their home in Pennsville to Atco the start of the "Eat at Joes" cruise which ended at Joes Crab Shack in Delaware 5 miles past Pensville NJ

The "Mi Casa Su Casa" award was suggested by Anthony Barille. He wanted to thank Marc Miller for pushing his project bus out into the snow. and letting Ant use his garage for the whole season to secretly restore the Karmann Ghia for his dad.

We finished up with Joe doing The Bus Song and the prize drawings... An absolutely wonderful night, despite 6" of snow falling while we were in there.

The party was so much fun!  Thanks to Joe T for all the preliminary work leading up to it!  And thanks to Shawn and Joe for MC'ing it together!!  Loved having the Bus Song back.

I think the baskets were a great idea and I couldn't believe how many we ended up with - thanks to all who contributed!!  I even took home a nice stash of Godiva home thanks to Jack and Joanne.

As always the Dubious awards were very entertaining.  Thanks Shawn for all the time you spent putting them together!  And it was so nice of Prez Jay to remember his board- that hat rocks!

Thanks to Jim, Greg and Matt for creating pleasant holiday music for us to enjoy.

What a great time!!!!!  I love this club!  =+grouphu9
