I am selling a 1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. It is a project/ Parts car with a rebuilt motor that runs and needs a good home. I am moving to CA and sadly cant take it with me to finish. $850 OBO. THE CAR NEEDS TO GO BEFORE SEPTERMBER 30TH OR IT IS GOING TO THE JUNK YARD! Make me an offer!

A bit about the car: I bought it in summer of 2004 as a coupe and worked on it with my dad on and off over the years as time, money and girls permitted. At one point I picked up a second convertible Ghia for parts. There was sad event where a roof collapsed on the car due to a heavy snow load and there went the coupe. I took the rear half of convertible with the front half of the original car(it was in better shape). It sat for a while in storage and the front half went missing (stolen or scraped by someone else) so I set about from scratch we working the front end. the result has Ghia similarities but slightly different lines. I did away with the small rear seat area and moved the seats, petals, steering, and shifter all back about 2 feet making a slightly longer front end of the car. I also chopped the doors down turned the around so they are suicide now.

A good car from someone looking for parts or a project.

The car is about 90% rust free, the whole front body panels are new steel hand shaped.
new heater channels
new floor pans
new wiring harness
rebuilt motor but not broken in. It has a light drip from the oil filter that should be and easy fix.
new brakes, have to be fully bled though
the original rear end of the car is where most of the rust is but is still in descent shape. I have some pre-shaped replacement panels for the rear.
The front fenders have to be cut back due to wheel rub when fully turned.
Reupholstered seats black w/charcoal.
ALL the parts I have go with the car including the original: bumpers, convertible top, lights, gauges, extra trunk lid, and other misc parts.

As you can see from the picture it is currently in storage. Sorry I don't have any better pictures.

The buyer is responsible for picking up the car. I will not ship it. It is not road worthy yet. Cash only, I am moving so no trades.
The Car is in Williamstown.
$850 OBO

any question call or email
Thanks
