Feburary Dub 'N Dine Suggestions
« on: January 14, 2014, 09:45:46 pm »

Hello,

Looking for suggestions for a February Dub 'N Dine. I was trying to go with something romantic, maybe Italian or French... but they may be pricy. Anybody have any suggestions?

We have Cuban, Hawaiian, Middle Eastern, Japanese (Sushi), in the line up. Short your suggestions. A week before the meeting I'll do a poll and announce it at the next meeting.

Here is the line up of what I have so far.

March - Irish
April - None
May - Authentic Mexican (Cinco De Mayo)
June -
July -
August -
September -
October - (German) Brauhaus Schmidts, Frankford Hall or Mickie and Minnies

I thought Dub n Dine was winter...Ice cream runs summer

BTW The root beer joint across from Taylors has re-opened as a southern BBQ pit... Might be fun

A truly good BBQ or Cajun / Creole would be awesome, but hard to find.  Although Percy Street BBQ in Philly or Smoking Bettys are quite good...
I'd have to test the place by Taylors, I take my BBQ fairly serious  smok(ing Life is too short to eat bad BBQ!

How about AMERICAN  :jump4jo": :jump4jo": :jump4jo":

BBQ is very American  thumpup)-

I believe the city tavern in philly does some traditional 18th century foods.....  just saying  clap2-*
from their site:
"Est. 1773, City Tavern hosted the first July 4th celebration. Paul Revere stopped here on his midnight ride & the unofficial White House."

IMHO american can fit the mold of D-n-D quite well, who among us can not learn something from 18th century food or unique BBQ, or real cajun food...  2@cent
