Fuel Lines: 30r9 vs 30r14

Hey guys,
Does anyone know if 30r14 is bad?
I've been looking online and I can't find any direct comparisons, but from what I can guess by looking at specs,
I believe 30R14 is the same as 30r9 just with a lower pressure rating (50psi).

I can't find anything online that confirms or denies that, and I can't find anyone that says 30r14 is good or junk.

Does anyone know enough about it to comment?

The reason I ask is because I went into NAPA and told them I needed ethanol proof fuel line, and the guy said the only thing he knows of that won't break down from the ethanol is Gates Barricade hose. After I bought $18 bucks worth of it and went home to research it, alls I found was alot of people saying to use hose with a 30r9 rating.
So I looked up Gates Barricade hose to see if it was 30r9 and found out it was 30r14, so I tried to find as much info as I could, and there is very little consumer info of people discussing it.

So I guess the bottom line of what I really want to know is, is it safe to use it, or should I try to return it and get something that says 30r9?

Also should I paint my fuel tank while it's out, or is that little bit of surface rust ok?
If I paint it, how should I wash it to get all the dust off it?
