I flip over the back of it to see how the wiring would work. Seems like I need a cigarette adaptor. My GPS adaptor may work, but Id only be able to use one thing at a time once the GPS battery dies.

The adaptor I need looks like this can be found here...
Cigarette Adaptor

But I'm not spending 25 dollars on it, that's more than the CB cost!!!!

I went out to test the CB, and it makes static, and the microphone makes a clicking sound inside the CB. So I'm guessing it works. Won't know for sure till I get the antennae. I should have taken the one out of the Falcon before we sold it.  @7@

I use to have a cigarette lighter adaptor for my CD player but I think i threw it out when I was cleaning out my drawers.  @7@

Keep an eye open for me.

Yes, and once you get an antenna ,get the standing wave (swr) set most truckstops with a radio shop can do it. or you can get a meter at radio shack. it will set your antenna to the proper length for optimum performance 1.5 or lower across the band (1-40 ) is desired if too high it will create  heat in the final transitors and fry your radio. cb/ham radio is on of my past hobbies !! ::)

Clicking the mic wont kill it... But tansmittiong for any period of time might. I dont recommend the cigarette lighter plug. I have some nice plugs that will make it removable.

I bought my antenna...if you want to call it that...today. The only thing I heard on the way home was a faint dixie horn. So either the antenna is crap, or there's just no activity on the 23 channels I have.

I take it you've installed it... A faint Dixie horn is what I would expect. They really are dead, but that's why I suggested using them. If you put it on ch 19 during your commute you might hear something, but probably not unless you're near the AC xway during work hours. We'll have to hook-up prior to the next event and test it.
