Now I gotta tell the world about this VW Bug
It’s not very quick y’know, but its’ no slug

Puff the Magic Dragon drives one in Honalee

Now the Jap engineers couldn’t do no better
They tried making curves but they turned out flatter
Truth be told it came thru Hitler and Porsche,
But its surfers’ and hippies that carry the Torch.

I’m in the middle  of the story bout the VW Bug
And I just gotta tell you, it’s a car I’ve always dug
Its got the happy face and the  bicycle tires,
But its’ no joke they’ll roll a zillion miles

Now y’can always tell when they’re comin down the block
Cause they sound like a trashcan getting hit w rocks
They sometimes breakdown and you usually know why.
And Vdub mechanic probably lives nearby

They’re easy to work on and gets parts for
And if you own one, you’ll want 10 more
And IF your single it’s the car to own
Just enough space when your doin’ it alone

Most cars hate the cold and get stuck in the snow
But my little rear engine’s like an Eskimo

Now Ive spun a little ditty bout the VW beetle
W/ the art deco script on the speedometer needle
Now there’s BUGS,VANS, THINGS, SQUAREBACKS AND KARMANN GHIAS’
AND ITS’ TOUGH TO DECIDE THE RIGHT ONE FOR ME Y’ALL….

The changes are easy for the UKE. Sounds better with E being minor too and A7. I dunno what the melody line is =-(

OOps  it's actually a C#minor....I'll be glad to sing it when I'm hanging out and remember to bring my Uke or Guitar!  It is really kinda not done musically, written stream of consciousness.  It needs a bridge?!  I am surely open to collaborations!   s3
