Anyone planning on attending the PanAmerican Nationals at Atco Raceway? For those non-Latin folk. It’s also called Porto Rico vs American Car Races and show. It is held the weekend of July 19th, & 20th and is one wild weekend. I think this is the largest event of the year for the track? If the weather is good it gets packed.

I've been to that event several times and its the BEST racing you will ever see!
I mentioned it to Frank and I think he's going so count me in too!

A few years ago we went to Englishtown to watch "Team Purto Rico" VS "Team America". Now anybody who thinks it just a "bunch of Tyotas" is nuts! Those cars are some of the most advanced imports and many are in the 200mph + bracket. The racing is wild with drivers fighting to keep such short wheel based cars on the track and the crowds go nuts anytime somebody gets a good run. The announcer is in Spanish but with all the latin folks in this club we should get some good translations going!

I've been to this event before, and as Bob has said it gets wild. Bring your earplugs, those rotorys really wind up and scream. I don't know how those guys get so much power out of them? There is alot of excitable things to see shocked and do. Who's bringing the grill? If we pull together we can all help one another with cost.  d-s

 drive&& I have 3 more people headed up to this show with me. Last year it was raining,  gl6 so i didnt make it. BUT this yr it's looking good soo far. :icon_sunny:
PS guys dont forget to walk with a  logomed Banner.... We might get more NEW members and exposure to the Puerto Rican Racers! So if anyone has a car FOR SALE bring it out to the show and slip a for sale sign in it and it might find a new home in PR !8!

 OK.. For those that didn't attend the PamAm Nationals here's a update.
We had a good VDub showing and a long line of VDub cars.. Those in attendence were Ramone "SoulRebel67" and Bugaru.. Damn we rolled and showed that SJVWC ruled just by our shear numbers. The weather was Hot  :icon_sunny:, and so was the racing action. Fast Cars, Good music all around us, and some nice Latin women. Oh by the way Frank and Jay and a few other SJVWC members were also seen in the crowd. There were about 4-5 VW racers, but didn't see any of our guys?

OK for the good stuff. I won Best of Show, and Ramone won Best Hoodie. Not bad considering that there were many cars there and lots of really nice stuff.   Pics attached.

hell I wanted to go but started "exploratory surgery' on the GT, that is until I started to cook!

 We met these folk at the show with this Sweet Nasty Baja, and her car Won Most Radical for most junk in the trunk. Check it out, it's all hanging out and sounded as Nasty as it looks. They are new to the area and are considering joining our "Gaggle" / SOCIETY  :icon_thumleft:

Hey I think recognize that car it was built for a girl and her BF by "volkswreck" going back about 5 or 6 years ago. Hot Vdubs did an article on it and later on it wound up on Fleabay. Back then there was no turbo just webers and a 2275cc. Never saw it actually move under its own power since the former owner pushed it off a trailer at each event.
If its the same car looks like somebody finally sorted it out !

Yea I think that Ramone knows them gots to check with him, but then again who the hell dosen't know Ramone WA#. Heck it takes forever to walk 100' of car shows or vendors with him because every few steps someones always yelling out "Yoo Ramone Wuz-sup"  P#3
