Yep, I won't be able to have everything ready for the January zoning board meeting ,but should be ready for the Feb meeting.
I don't know how fast my car will go.
It's more important that I know how fast my car will stop.

Havin it built, I'm tired of building. Might do the wiring and interior work though.

You buy your own bus, and do what you want to your bus. I'll do what I want to so with mine. Pissing off purists one modification at at time.

Here's the latest in the never ending garage story. Everything that I could do on my own to get this project moving is done. It involved some leg work, meetings with the Zoning Officer, township Clerk, tax office, Tax Collector, filling out forms and applications, studying 80 lines of information on the application form check list to make sure that all is correct, and etc, etc. No big deal, just time consuming.
Yesterday I met with a retired electrician friend who will be doing the electrical work.
Now all I need is a survey. Contacted 4, yes, 4 surveyors. It has been a week and only got one quote which went right into the trash. The other 3, who knows, guess the economy hasn't been a problem for them. c23 Give me a transit and a piece of paper and I'll do it myself; establish corner, benchmark, 2 to 3 turning points, locate the buildings, make a scale drawing and I'm done 4 hrs work $400.00 goodbye. :icon_cheesygrin: OH wait, I don't have the license. :icon_cry:

Hey does anybody do survey work or know of a surveyor that surveys for a reasonable price?

Jim, 3-400 is about the going rate nowadays.Think of it this way at 400 a day the company makes 104,000 annually. Not a lot if you have your own business. s#r

Even though I can fit three cars into my carage (and the town says a 2 car garage is the biggest you can build), I have been looking into sticking a large "shed" into the yard. Has anyone checked out http://www.shedsunlimited.net/SingleCarGarages.html where you can get a 12x20 for about $3000 before tax and delivery? (Amish country)I would probably build my own, but for those of you who need to buy.....
