This is about the forth try for me on a light treatment. I think I finally found one that works for me. 39 Chevy Blue dot tail lights mounted on top of fender, they will be my running/stop lights. Old stop lights will be replaced with amber motorcycle bullet lights, theses will be my turn signals. Moving license plate to shortened deck lid. Over that will be a Model A stop light, this will be the 3rd brake/running/license plate light. I know the Model A light is not an original idea but I really like them. Will post another pic upon completion.

Love the layout & that "STOP" Light.

Beware... Got ticketed for "Blue Dots" a while back. You cant have any color than red on your rear with the exception of yellow turn/hazzard lights was the reason cited.
The VWs you can sleep in are more gooder

Mark,

those "pods' look cool! reminds me of the 61 plymouth I learned to drive on many years ago. Seen the Model A light used on a couple of bikes, makes a very "retro' cool look. Think this is going to be a good change for the car.

LoL They were my 1st choice but no such thing as a Repo for those lights. Found some NOS & mint originals on Ebay but they are big  d-s After I got my license back in 72 I wanted to buy a 61 Plymouth that I found, had a 225 slant six & 3 on the tree, my Dad RIP talked me out of it  :wallbash:

Scarcrow:

Where did you get the 39 chevy taillights?   $61$

I'v been shopping for a pair for my T Roadster project.

I'm hoping to find a pair at the "Cowtown Swap Meet in March or the
"Model A Swap Meet in May" .

I like what your doing to your car very creative.

All the lights are repo's got them on Ebay. Lots more of them out there. They even have glass lenses. The Model light was $50 & the 39's were about the same price. Motorcycle lights came from Ebay too. They were $20 and are metal not plastic

thats funny, that is exactly the same car my dad had, the one I learned to drive on.

Those cars were known to be "rust buckets" after a few years the cool "Jet exhaust pods/taillights" rusted out and fell off! Happened to our car so Dad replaced them with a flush mounted set from a 63'. The only car I know of that looked like it was already in an accident with the pushed back front grill!
