Birthday Cake

I was very surprised to say the least. Thanks to everyone, and John the cake was great!!

The sad thing about the cake that I cut up and put in the freezer is, I can't eat a lot of it because I found out yesterday from my blood test that I'm a border line diabetic and have to change the food I eat starting NOW.

I admit I'm a Carb junkie, give me a loaf fresh baked bread and I'll devourer it.

I also was going to try and stop smoking this week I even have to pick up a RX I dropped off to help me quit. DAM, how can I stop smoking and eating at the same time. I'm doomed To a life of misery, no carbs or stoned# :icon_cry:

When I was little, my dad for some reason started smoking again. My sister had just learned about lung cancer and we were both worried for my father's health. Soo... we use to hide his cigars, or cut them up and we use to show him the text book lung cancer pictures. Eventually he stopped... or so we think. =-)

I could send you a new picture a day via email but I'll have to let the Mrs' inside so I can find your smokes and cut them up!!!

Talk to Daverted about quitting, I know he's been smoke free for a while. I think he mentioned it at the diner.

Jack- It's good to hear that you'll be giving up the smokes! I've been told by friends that it's very tough to quit ... but I know you and I'm sure you'll pull it off and be much healthier for it!

Greg and Mike, I quit for a little over 7 years and it was the hardest thing I ever did. I tried everything, even acupuncture and in the end the only way I quit was cold turkey. The only trouble was I never completely lost the urge to smoke.

Thats just what I may need Mike so stay close by. :icon_cheesygrin: and thanks for caring :icon_tongue:

First of all a very happy birthday @72 and wishes that you have many, many more. As for the stoned# I'll feel some of your pain cause I will do my best to refrain from doing so when I'm in your company :rolleyes:

Jack, it too hard to do it alone. I'm going to help the best way I know how...I'm coming over to get that cake. We'll keep in in MY freezer! LAUGH@

Jack, I guess you can still eat cheesesteaks, sausages, eggs...etc right? If so, you can still eat some of the good stuff!

That cake was great John! - I dont care what was in it. Jack was kind enough to let me take some home for the family. Really, they ranted all the next day about how good it was! Thanks from all of us!!
