hate to get off topic...but fruit flies are the worst.  once you get them it is so hard to get rid of them...they reproduce very quickly (a day or two), yet only have a life span of about 10 days and the females lay up to 500 eggs... only way to get rid of them, eliminate food sources

sorry Bud, you might have some friends for awhile.

Sorry for being off topic, Back to the Slam!!!!

I had a great time this weekend with SJVWCC and what a wonderful event it was.  Big thanks to the Slowriders Club for hosting such a classy event with so much to do.  This event is a must do if you love VW's.  I met some awesome people at this event, and I have no doubt I will see them again.  I will definatly be going back to this one next year and maybe we might be more competitive in the valve cover racing. drive&&

Nice pics guys, I especially like the group hug photos.

If this event lands on the same weekend as E-town next year its a no brainer.... WE GOTO THE SLAM!!!

I could go on and on...but you just have to look at the pictures to know how great it was!

I have no clue what kind of bug it is but i know how to Zap it.  Bud if you want to get rid of those flies i would recommend a trip to harbor freight for their electric swatter.  may put on quite the light show

Thanks Tyler. I have one of those for a few years now. I know some of you will want to hit me for this one (but it works) Red wine in a small dish covered with soapy water, they drown. Sorry to have hijacked this forum.

Family...Assassin Bug !fright! they live up to their name by slaying other insects, often larger than themselves !fright!

Genus Species = Arilus Cristatus

a note: their defensive bites on humans can be quite excruciating !fright!

You left out the good stuff!!

It possesses two scent sacs (red-orange in colour) that can be fired from its anus, usually in reaction to being disturbed. The scent produced by it is not as powerful as that produced by the Stink Bug, but is still strong enough to be detected by human noses.-Wiki

You buy your own bus, and do what you want to your bus. I'll do what I want to so with mine. Pissing off purists one modification at at time.

Great and we let this thing live. I could of lived a long happy life not knowing any of that. Wish I could go back to thinking wow funny looking bug then someone steps on it and we all joke about who cut the cheese.  gifsawsall Now I'm thinking of a black opps bug sneaking into my bus to bite me. So I will go on the record spiders and that guy are on my run the other way list.

Bud, they were going to use your trophy for one of their better awards but we announced the winner before they could ask us. Good job buddy!

I sent 90 Volts post to Jake & Holly and they said the BBQ VW was the best :icon_cheers: And I can't see how my project/trophy could be any better than the others
