The SSC Aero was the fastest in the world at 267 mph

The Barabus TKR just unthroned it at 270 mph so if that is the car you are thinking of the show had its data a bit wrong

I think the car I'm talking about can do 274mph but they limit it to 253mph for production model for safety and if I recall it has 1000HP

Now that was funny. These cars have been round for a couple years..for
$1.2 mil it should be able to beat a jet fighter in a race..which it did. Saw that on TOP GEAR.
