Replaced the rack & Pinion in the Golf, Pulling the subframe was not fun...

More maintenance/tune up stuff on dad's bug this morning.

Adjusted valves, drained oil. Cleaned and painted the valve covers (they were nice and rusty) Installed new tips on the new muffler.

Looked at the ghia and bus, then started them up ~ enough for one day.

re adjusted the front of the front end on the square. I'm not sure if its still sitting right. Ive been measuring by the bolt holes on the front head lamps and they say that the pass side is still an inch lower. I'm gonna try measuring from a different spot.

Havent been able to find a good stock fender for Dad's car so I had to patch this one to get him through MD inspection (no rust holes allowed)

Started with this

Ended with this

Gotta wet sand the primer and hit it with some paint but it will do for now. Just a quick fiberglass and filler job since the fender on there is a cheap aftermarket (thus the rust) and not worth the effort to weld up just as a temporary fix.

Did nothing to my VW's but I did change out the serpentine belt & radiator hoses on my F150

After I cleaned up I took the wife for a ride in the Bus. The Rat scares her but she loves the Bus
