I was hunting one day in my original (first Bug) '63 Rag. My throttle cable broke. So, I took out my boot laces, tied them together and ran it out the top to the carb. Kind of funky using my left hand for the throttle, but it got me the 20 miles home.
No, I didn't make this story up. I'm not that creative!

Tow young ladies knocked on my door about an hour ago and wanted to buy LoveBus and after I left them sit in it and see how everything worked they wanted it even more. I said 5 grand and it's yours, not expecting her to say OK. No I didn't sell it.
I don't have to go to work in the morning....

Installed and balanced 2 new back tires on the bug. My back tires had dry rot cracks all around the treads. I went to CT last week with angels on my shoulders. I had ordered 2 tires from a on-line company and it came in today, so i had them put on because i'll be heading to NY on sunday for the NYC VW Traffic Jam. This year i decided to go to some different shows rather than the same ol shows. Next i'll be putting an airhorn for a blast!
