so my wifes hard drive started getting a CPU fan problem message on her computer. I'm figuring it should be an easy job to replace. I went on to a site called computergeeks.com and they only list one CPU fan but they have 24 different hard drive fans. Can I assume that a fan is a fan? The new one looks identical to the old one, same amount of plugs and same size. So can I use it or not?

heres the link for the part- apparently they dont sell a boring black fan. the size I need comes with LED lights. what crap.

I'm trying to buy the part local. Its a $3 part with $15 in shipping

It's an HP Pavilion a1430n

the CPU is a Bestec

I was going to try to pick one up tommorrow on the way home from work. Its a cheap part so thats why I was asking if the generic fan will work or not.
