Finished up the muffler job and went for a ride. I'm gonna miss that old noisy muffler, things just don't seem the same. Like what's that noise, I never heard that before. Where is that rattle coming from, is that road noise or is something dragging, is the back seat squeaking, is the engine running?

Went across the street and helped my neighbor Jeff tune up
his 60 Baja Vert, new plugs, new wires, new compufire ign. 
He went to start it and the accelerator cable broke, right
next to the carb linkage.  &rant((  Monday we will go and get
another cable.  Will check the clutch cable while i am under
the vert.  Still have to tighten all the screws on the carbs,
to make sure there are no air leaks.  The last time he used
the vert was last May.  Time to get another VW back on the
road.  Jeff is only a kid, just turned 65.  Our main mechanic
for the group, Kenny, turned 77. 
Old Pharts and their TOYS, keeps us young at heart.  We
just move a little slower.  %$oldcit
