Looked up a local Chrome shop to re-do the bumpers,
there is only one in Yuma !!!  Will go over and talk to
them next week, as i have the original bumpers for
the 67 Bug.  The front one is bent and rusted, and the rear
is badly pitted, but in good shape.
The front on the car is presently a Euro-Blade, but i would
prefer the original to be in place.  Picky, Picky, Picky, but i
want it right  whistleegi

Will keep you posted  byeby.,

Adding to the parts stash for the great VWartburporscharu build version 2.0

Gonna need a little reworking to get these to fit, but I do love them soooo much

Anyone need some porsche wheels?  I have 3 sets going up for sale eventually :)

And to spin those baloneys I picked up a little subaru WRX 2.0 Turbo motor.  Should provide a little 100 hp bump over the stock 2.2 subie that is in there now.

Mostly just parts collecting this year.  Will start doing some work on the Thing soon if Im ever home, work keeps sending me away.

Naah, they'll fit...in theory they are only 2" wider than what I have on there now.

So as some of you know I have had Franks motor in parts boxes and cleaning tanks, waiting for painted parts and everythin else that goes on. Seroiusly, I dont know who is worse, me or Frank, with getting this thing done with. Yesterday with Jacks help I finally brought Franks motor over to his shop.
In case you forgot what I started with, heres a reminder

and now after a little work

so now, I still have a little plumbing to do. I have to install it and get it running. But hey! Isnt it an amazing coincidense that next weekend is Franks open house party at his shop! So we're going to have a little tech session at the party that will involve getting Franks motor in and running. Now, as I have told Frank this is the first fuel injected motor I've done so when we put the final wiring together, I may have some questions for some of you that have worked on these plumbing nightmares. so show some support for Frank and and come and get your hands dirty at the same time. Oh, did I mention food and drinks are provided?

So could a certain VW Thing sitting here :)

I have spare 2.2's but you'd need to get the wiring and computer.

Early 90s legacy's are cheap ;)  We picked up our donor for $400 and parted out most of it for another $200 and got $250 from the scrap guy for the shell.

With all your posts about how nice the weather is there I was thinking the snow men would be appropriate.
I think they are calling for snow next week so I hoping the wrapping paper Would take the snow with it and dump it on Yuma.  **^bana0 Glad they got there OK.
