Useless for me at least, I guess is more for the skiers and cyclists. I cant see putting your luggage or camping gear on that.

Was thinking about getting a beetle one, and modding it to fit.

Neat, but there isn't a floor to put the stuff into. So it would literally fall into the car if i had the top down.

Would you want to put a cooler of beer... I mean, Soda above your head in a net? Seems like the demand is out there for something, so maybe I found my millions. =-) The rack I posted is very difficult to find.

well I would think you could store beer or soda in the trunk  or in the back seat....   What exactly are you looking to use it for?

Are the racks adjustable on the rails?  My SUV has them and you move them back and forth depending on the size of your suitcase or whatever.  I  have also seen turtle shells attached to them on minivans and SUV's but never convertibles.  Would be convenient given the limited storage space!  Good luck!

Sometimes I wonder about you. That rack is perfect... Add a Blackwidow rooftop basket and you triple your cargo capacity.

I just like the old school look, of the one I had for bridgette. That one looks like something you'd put on a civic.

Uber Rare Cabriolet roof rack.....
they can go for upwards of 1k if its in the original box.
VW uses the name Votex as the OEM aftermarket company to produce parts. Try searching Votex cabriolet roof rack, you just might find one.

Only down side to this rack is you have to drill holes into the "A" and "B" pillars to mount it.
