Belleplain? Anyone interested for weekend of 10/20?

I know you're all probably about all camped out for the season with BBTD coming up,  but was wondering if anyone had any interest in going to Belleplain   @campfiresmiley    the weekend of 10/20.

Just trying to get some feedback before I decide to put the trailer in storage for the season.

Sounds good to me! I can't make BBD this year, was hoping for a campout in October.

JoAnn and I are going 9/21 for a shakedown campout but we would also go 10/20 to Belleplain. We also have the FYBO in Dec.

it will prob be a last min call for me but i would be down for it.  i wanted to try and find a place is salem or sleepy hollow to add a bit of creepy to the camput but i have been tied up with other stuff

Well, Id have a 9 year old with me, so I don't know how much "creepy" I can do.   I don't need screaming nightmares  afraid%   next to me all night long..  #@rofl3

Jack, that's great about JoAnn going camping with you! I bet you're both excited.  Good luck with the shakedown next weekend.  Do you bring  a generator, or try to boondock as best you can?

Its a pretty cool town that lives off the legend.  this is a huge statue in the center of town near the cemetary.



and during halloween this guy rides around but we didnt get to see him since he only comes out at night.

Now I would personally LOVE that because I'm into ghosts, hauntings, haunted places, etc.. but Matthew.. not so  much.   17gif

yea i have not seen what they offer at night spooky wise cause the whole town looks slightly creeply like the movies.  awesome views of the mountains and the hudson.  The old duch semetary has tours we just walked it.  the rockerfella estate borders the grounds pretty cool area.  during the holidays they have that guy just ride around so there are sightings in the area not real spooky.  i will do more research for next year.  i think salem would be a fun location to check out all the witch trial stuff.

not sure if its tarrytown I thought it was sleepy hollow I was in but yes Salem mass is on my list to go.  if you want creepy though we should camp some old civil war spots like Gettysburg.  I wonder if martin has any re-enactments coming up we could tag along for.

Yes we'll have to think about those for next year, because distance will take planning.

I'm still hoping for Belleplain though, because it would be my first big camping trip with my trailer.

yea and easy to plan so im deff down pending dock doesnt push for easly schedule.  would be nice to get a relaxing weekend in before the crazy chit.
