Anyone know a local place that still carries the skinny stock tires. (Not online)
165/80R15 is that wide 5?

check Firestone. Its part of their collector car series and they may have to dig for them but they do make them

The original size for Bugs and Ghias was 560X15. That is equal to a metric size 155X15. If you want/need skinny tires, most people use the original type III size, 165X15, which does fit. An 80 series tire is a little wider. Herby rides great on 165X15 tires and new shocks. The radial tires are a big improvement in the ride over the old bias ply tires. 2@cent Remember, if you go with the 165X15, the speedo can read a little slower than you are actually going.   %$oldcit
