check rods in beetle doors

Anybody do this? Is it just as easy as popping off the door panel, pulling the pin off the rod and struggling with some stubborn screws? My doors almost blew off my MugBug today in this wind.........

Hi Bob, Nope , both doors have pins in them, they swing open very fast and very wide and don't stay open once opened all the way.

The drivers side door hinge is a bit bent in, but Im not fixing that until you paint the car in Mercedes Red, the color of the Ghia.  ^banana=
