Can u hear the drive spin?

Can u turn it by hand at the pulley? No, wait, wrong drive

Richard

Try to find the installed software for the drive and uninstall it.
Then do a re-install.
Try to skip formatting the drive if possible.

Have you tried turning your pc off and on?  haha

There are two things in ordinary conversation which ordinary people dislike - information and wit.

It\'s not a car, it\'s not a van, its a BUS!

Simple fix. Go to Amazon.com and buy a new 1tb drive for fifty bucks. Then take the first drive for a drive out your driveway, turn left, drive a half mile open your passenger window and throw the thing in lake Kessel

Don't do anything crazy. Matt can open it, and put the contents onto another drive. Do not reformat, reformatting with delete the content.

I've done everything that has been  suggested but no luck. It is a 1TB drive from amazon (o: used for storing photos only so no big loss. I don't think it came with any software, think it was just PnP  I willl try it on my wife's computer later today.
OR it may be broken.................

No big loss? It's the pictorial (is that the right word) history of our club!

OK, I plugged it into my laptop and the laptop found the drive. I stated to transfer photos to the drive and it says 17 hours remaining, WT*  devil)- reminds me of running a 286Mh-16 back in the day. I'm letting it run just to see how long it takes. chit I'll be an old man by time its done. Opps, I'm already an old man old-\

I need someone to set up my to computers so I can see/transfer the files of each computer  help$# Windows-7 on both computers.

Transfer rates can be maddeningly slow on USB hard drives. Mine is a two tb usb3 and it still takes forever!
Just make sure you remembered to plug your laptop into AC!!
