Dan is my nephew. He returned from Afghanistan recently, and was checking out my Vanagon. He was really interested in fixing one up and needed something to do in his free time. So...Off to Vanagonland.

Jay gave him a really good deal on this because of its awful paint.



Thats OK because he wants it to look like this....

George gave us a to-do-list


And we got to it. Spent three days getting it road-ready for Grannies. Unfortunately Dan got called out of town for work and wont be back till Friday. No way we can get it inspected before then

We'll post more in a new blog

I have 2 days till I leave for Grannies. I need to prep Eeyore. Dans needs an oil change and to have the brakes checked. I don't expect theree to be anything wrong, but its sat for 5 years.
The trans mount is actually not that bad to do, I just don't have the time.
