trailer to haul a parts bus
« on: August 01, 2008, 11:04:25 pm »

Hello all,

does anyone have a trailer?  I need to get jrival's ex-bus, now my parts bus, to my house in pitman...  my dad has a truck with a hitch so we could haul it easy enough, but I don't want to have to rent a trailer if I can help it...

thanks guys,

Sky

Is this the bus without a front axle and wheels?

It has front axle and wheels but may have to hook up tie rods.

you are both correct.  it has the front axle.  the wheels are off but Joe said he'd put them back on.  Tie rods are for the steering box?  is that correct?  Joe said the steering box is disconnected...

I have a trailer BUT, before we go to get it you have to go over and hook up the tie rods so we can steer it and make sure there is air in the tires. Also you will have to have at least 4or 5 guys willing to go over and help push the bus on and back off  the trailer when we get back to Pitman.
Only then will I take the trailer to get it. I don't want to go over then have two hours of prep work to move it.
